Peoria Ford on West Bell Road in
Peoria has been matching great cars with happy drivers for 19 years, and up until September 2010, as Sunset Ford. Since opening
in 1991, the dealership had been independently owned and operated by the
same family, and the owner was on site nearly everyday. Still true today. Peoria Ford's Operating Partner, an owner, is here daily.
Longevity was one of Sunset Ford's hallmarks and its
workforce of 100 employees exemplified that. " Several of our employees
have been with the dealership since its inception." said General Manager Pat Hickey. " That's outstanding with the economy the way it is today,
especially in this line of work."
A fully trained sales staff assists buyers with their
decisions. " We have stringent requirements for our salespeople." Hickey
said. " They are required to become certified within 90 days of
employment." The dealership provides the time and tools for them to earn
their credentials.
Once a car has been purchased, a trained delivery
coordinator reviews the vehicle's warranty, operation and maintenance
with its new owner so he or she can become comfortable with it before
taking possession. " People are delighted to not just have the keys
handed to them", said Hickey.
To ensure optimal vehicle care, Peoria Ford also offers
full-service auto repair, maintenance and body shops as well as a Quick
Lane service area for oil changes and minor repairs, with no
appointments required.
