Ford’s 1967 Le Mans-winning GT40 Mark IV race car is a legendary vehicle, and in honor of its historic win, the brand is debuting a new Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition for 2018. The car’s unique paint job and features pay tribute to the GT40 and its team, consisting of Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt.

“In creating a worthy successor to the 2017 Heritage edition, we logically looked at our next historic Le Mans victory with the all-American team of Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt,” said Dave Pericak, global director Ford Performance. “The 2018 Ford GT ’67 Heritage edition pays homage to that win, with a modern take on one of the most important vehicles in Ford’s storied history of racing.”

When the 2018 Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition goes on sale with limited numbers, it will don a Race Red paint job with white stripes and exposed carbon. In honor of the 1967 GT40, it will also feature No. 1 door and hood graphics that will give it a true racecar look. Additionally, the vehicle will receive 20-inch one-piece forged aluminum wheels draped in silver satin clear coat and outfitted with black lug nuts. Silver rearview mirror caps and red calipers will also make an appearance.
