Specs at a Glance
Meaningful upgrades make the 2025 Ford Maverick® an even more appealing small pickup. Beyond its updated exterior, the newest Maverick® now comes with the enhanced SYNC 4 infotainment system. When shopping for a new Maverick®, many will be choosing between the XLT and Lobo™ trim levels. Let's see how these two compare.
Performance
The Maverick® XLT is equipped with a 2.5L hybrid engine as standard, making it one of the segment's most fuel-efficient models. Ford rates this hybrid at a combined 191 horsepower. A continuously variable transmission further optimizes fuel economy. For those seeking more power, the XLT also offers an optional 2.0L EcoBoost engine producing 250 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard, with optional all-wheel drive available.
On the Maverick® Lobo™, the 2.0L EcoBoost engine is the standard choice. A specially calibrated seven-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters adds to its sporty feel. Ford engineers the Lobo™ to deliver a more athletic driving experience, featuring a lowered suspension and performance-tuned steering. The trim also includes beefier brakes and a torque-vectoring AWD system for enhanced handling.
Appearance
The 2025 XLT retains the Maverick®'s refreshed styling, featuring a redesigned front fascia and darkened headlamp covers. It rides on 17-inch Carbonized Gray aluminum wheels. A selection of attractive exterior colors, such as Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat, is available.
By contrast, the Maverick® Lobo™ projects a bolder street-truck persona with its lowered stance, exclusive 19-inch black wheels, and distinctive grille, making a statement wherever it goes.
Features
The XLT's updated SYNC 4 infotainment system is a standout, featuring a larger 13.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Additional amenities include Intelligent Access with Push-Button Start, in-bed cubby storage, and an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster.
Inside the Lobo™'s cabin, ActiveX seat upholstery with accent stitching offers a sporty yet refined environment. Standard Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control and an available B&O premium sound system cater to convenience and audio enthusiasts.
