What's New For the 2019 Ford Fusion?

The 2019 Ford Fusion has a more updated design thanks to its sleeker front and rear-end design. Fresh color palettes and new wheels help to create a more diverse vehicle, which is slightly different from the previous model. Ford Co-Pilot 360, the most advanced suite of driver-assisted technologies, makes its debut for 2019. These technologies include automatic high-beam lighting, and a host of preventive-safety features such as emergency braking with pedestrian detection. Unlike previous versions of this sedan, the 2019 Fusion will come with a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine. This vehicle will also come in a plug-in hybrid model that will provide an estimated additional 25 miles per electric charge.

Various Trim Options & Upgraded Features

The 2019 Ford Fusion is all about variety as this sedan will come in multiple trims such as the S model, the SE model, the SEL model and Titanium. Ford has always done a great job of offering a myriad of exterior paints, but this sedan will come with the extra options of velocity blue, agate black and rich-copper metallic. Fusion has an unmistakable presence on the highway thanks to its all-new grille, which comes in either chrome mesh or five-bar chrome.

Comfort and convenience is big with this sedan. Fusion will come with a wider range of interior hues like Russet and light-putty brown. There's a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cool-vented driver/passenger seats and a rotary gear-shift dial. The instrument cluster has a 4.2-inch LCD display, and there's Sirius XM radio. Other features included are Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and USB ports.

Impressive Performance & Power

Depending on the specific model of choice, consumers will have access to a 1.5-liter EcoBoost, a 2.0-liter Atkinson and a 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine. If you're wanting the most bang for your buck, the Fusion V6 Sport is the best route to take. This particular vehicle is geared for more power by giving you at least 325 horsepower as well as 380 pound-feet of torque. All of these engines are turbocharged with direct injection.

Active Safety & Protection Features

2019 Ford FusionThe 2019 Ford Fusion is no exception to the rule, especially when it comes to keeping its passengers safe. The all-new Regenerative Braking with Brake Coach technology can recover up to 94 percent of the vehicle's energy and store it within the batter for later use. Ford does a great job of employing radar sensors all around the vehicle, which senses potential danger before it manifests. This sedan is ultra intelligent in a sense thanks to all of its advanced-smart technologies. Adaptive-Cruise Control scans the highway ahead, and Lane Keep Assist helps the vehicle to stay within its lane. Of course, these advancements wouldn't be complete without the advantageous FordPass Connect technology.
