How Often Should I Service My Ford F-150?
Our team understands how busy life can get around here. Still, we encourage keeping up on the recommended Ford F-150 maintenance schedule. Taking a bit of time now can save you a lot of hassle down the road. Not sure when your truck needs to be seen? Consulting your owner's manual is the best way to get information that is specific to your model. In the meantime, you can check out the list we have comprised of standard Ford F-150 service intervals.
20,000-Mile Service
The first 20,000 miles on your Ford F-150 were likely smooth sailing. To ensure that continues to be the case, a multi-point inspection will be conducted once you have hit this milestone. You can trust that your brakes, exhaust system, wheels, steering linkage, suspension, and half-shaft boots will be thoroughly looked at.
An oil change with filter replacement can be done now, too. The service team will look at your tires to ensure they have proper tread and rotate them to help them wear evenly. If your transmission has a dipstick to allow for a fluid level check, this will be done now as well. Models with a cabin air filter will have the old one swapped out for a new one.
30,000-Mile Service
Now that you have hit yet another milestone, your F-150 will be ready for engine air filter replacement. If needed, your tires will be rotated, and your oil will be changed as well. The service team will check the same components now that they did at the 20,000-mile appointment to make sure everything still is operating as it should.
60,000-Mile Service
By this point, your F-150 has had some serious miles put on it. The same systems will be checked, your oil and oil filter will be changed, and your tires will be dealt with once again. New to this service appointment is the examination of accessory belts, if applicable. The cabin air filter will likely need to be replaced once again.
100,000-Mile Service
Spark plugs are the main focus once you hit 100,000 miles. Of course, everything that has been examined previously will be looked at again. Your F-150 can go far beyond 100,000 miles if you catch and fix any issues now.
