Large and in charge--that's how many 2018 Ford F-150 reviews describe the new truck, and for good reason! Sporting bold style, multiple high-powered engine options and a new fuel-saving auto stop-start ignition, the 2018 F-150 offers plenty for Phoenix-area drivers to appreciate.

Keep reading our review below to learn all about this powerful and dynamic truck!

Available F-150 Trims & Features

The 2018 Ford F-150 in Peoria is offered in six primary trims: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited. With these choices plus three cab styles to choose from--regular, SuperCab and SuperCrew--the tough truck offers ample ways to customize.

The entry-level XL is fitted with 17-inch steel wheels, vinyl flooring, a 4.2-inch radio display, four speakers, pre-wired trailer connections and 60/40-split folding rear seats that make loading and unloading easy. The available 101A package is worth splurging for if you'd also like power mirrors, Sync voice controls, Bluetooth and a USB port.

2018 Ford F-150 reviews recommend going with one of the upper trims for even more standard amenities. The Platinum comes equipped with 20-inch wheels, power-deployable running boards, an 11-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, LED headlights and automatic wipers, while the range-topping Limited builds on these creature comforts with upgraded leather seating, 22-inch wheels and unique design elements that make it stand out from the pack.

Engine Options

A plethora of engines are offered on the F-150, beginning with the brand-new 3.3-liter V6 that puts out 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. It comes paired to a six-speed automatic transmission that is able to climb speeds in a hurry.

Next up, you'll find a 325-hp, 2.7-liter V6 turbocharged engine, followed by a gutsy, 395-hp, 5.0-liter V8 that is also turbocharged. Both are capable of a healthy 400 lb-ft of torque. Finally, there's a 3.5-liter V6 that can be had in two power options: 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque or 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. All three of these options are mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Safety Is Top Priority

Ford has equipped every new 2018 Ford F-150 near Phoenix with a variety of standard safety gear, starting with antilock brakes, trailer sway control, seatbelt pretensioners, an electronic-locking rear differential, and traction and stability control. In addition to this excellent equipment, the truck can also be had with a suite of driver-assist technologies that includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and a 360-degree camera system.
