What's New For The 2019 Ford Super Duty?

The new Ford Super Duty now includes a Bang & Olufsen(B&O) stereo which replaces the previous Sony system. The Lariat trim also has a new Sport Package. Ford has chosen to produce a vehicle that carries on a smart legacy.

The Ford Super Duty Has Six Trims and an Abundance of Features

The new Super Duty has six available trims: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. The Super Duty can be purchased with a regular cab, extended cab, or crew cab. The crew cab can be configured with either a 6.8 or 8.2 bed. The base XL is basically a heavy-duty work truck and it comes equipped with 17-inch steel rims, a four-speaker audio system, a driver information display, intermittent wipers, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a backup camera, manual windows and locks, manual telescoping towing mirrors, vinyl upholstery, a removable tailgate with lift assist, air conditioning, and a trailer hitch with a 2-inch insert. Four-wheel-drive models feature front locking hubs and extended and crew cab models upgrade to a six-speaker audio system.

The XLT steps up to 18-inch rims, a CD player with satellite radio, power and heated exterior mirrors, a 4.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system display with Sync voice control, four locking cleats in the bed, an alarm system, keyless entry, cruise control, cloth upholstery, power windows and locks, and locking storage beneath the rear seat. Extended and crew cabs feature a rear privacy glass.

The Lariat upgrades power-folding and telescoping exterior mirrors, two USB charging ports, driver-side integrated spotlights with auto-dimming, a premium B&O 10-speaker surround sound system, tubular side steps, Wi-Fi hotspot, power sliding rear window, smartphone integration for Apple and Android, rear parking sensors, an 8.0-inch infotainment display system with Sync 3, dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, power front seats, a 110-volt household type receptacle, power-adjustable pedals, and a rear center armrest. Four-wheel-drive models feature an electronic shift-on-the-fly system.

The crew cab only King Ranch includes a GPS navigation system, unique Western-themed trim and styling, a power-tilt-and telescoping heated steering wheel, automatic high beams, driver seat memory, automatic wipers, improved leather upholstery, keyless entry, remote start, and keyless ignition.

The crew cab only Platinum steps up to 20-inch alloy rims, rear-cross traffic alert, adaptive steering, blind-spot alert, LED headlights, multi-contour front seats, automatic wipers, an integrated tailgate step, power running boards, and a power tailgate release. The Limited builds on the Platinum features and includes a two-tone leather interior, a 360-degree camera system, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise, and lane assist.

Other optional packages and standalone features include a 48-gallon fuel tank, a spray-in bedliner, a heavy-duty tow package for the turbodiesel engine, trailer tire pressure monitoring, an FX4 off-road package, a trailer mounted rear view camera, a fifth wheel hitch package, and an Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System which includes seven cameras.

An optional 6.7-liter turbodiesel engine produces an impressive 450 hp and 935 lb-ft of torque. The engines are connected to a six-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels. Four-wheel drive is optional on all trims. With these performance levels, it is clear that this vehicle is worth checking out.
