What's New for the 2020 Ford Explorer?
The new 2020 Ford Explorer has more going for it than ever before. Many of the styling cues reflect the truly incredible technologies found within the vehicle, and some of these include a huge range, increased horsepower, sportier looks, and improved towing capacity. The reasons why the 2020 Ford Explorer is a fine work of automotive art are many, and its ample cargo space only goes to show that absolutely nothing was left out in the 2020 Explorer. Its safety, trim, features and technologies are in many cases out of this world!

2020 Ford Explorer Trim Breakdown
With more features than ever before, the 2020 Ford Explorer has some of the most luxurious amenities and stylish trims that have ever been seen in an Explorer. The Explorer comes in six trims, such as XLT, ST, Platinum, Hybrid and Base Explorer; some of the incredible features include an integrated WiFi package which supports 10 devices, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a huge touchscreen display, SYNC 3 infotainment, seat warmers, and even a wireless phone charger. Though prices vary from the Base on up to the ST, some features are standard throughout all such as the safety package.
What Engine is in the 2020 Ford Explorer?
The all-new 2020 Ford Explorer has not skimped out on horsepower. The general range for the 2020 model is between 300 and 400 horses: a major improvement compared to last year's model. Many models utilize a turbo-charged 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine and combine that with a sensationally smooth 10-speed automatic transmission. The ST gets its 400 horses from a 3 liter V6 EcoBoost engine pushing 415 lb.-ft. of torque and a top speed of 143 mph, while they Hybrid Explorer uses its 318 horsepower to achieve an astounding 500-mile range before needing to recharge or fill up with fuel.
2020 Ford Explorer Safety
When it comes to safety, Ford has made the all-new Explorer a priority. No matter which package Ford owners buy, the CoPilot 360 package is included and features a whole host of life-saving and cool technologies that make the Explorer that much safer. Some of these include lane-keeping assist, pedestrian detection, emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic alerts, automatic headlights, and a rear-view camera. A few of the other safety offerings in the 2020 Explorer are a 360-degree camera, post-impact braking, adaptive cruise control, the reverse automatic emergency braking, and active park assist.
