What's New for the 2023 Ford Ranger?

There are some significant changes in store for the Ford Ranger in 2023. This year, the popular midsize Ranger, which was re-released in 2019 after leaving the market for years, gets some notable updates. The 2023 Ranger has a fresh new appearance that includes a variety of aesthetic improvements. The front end has a new front grille complete with redesigned headlights and tail lights. The Ford Ranger also now has badges that glow in the dark. While the lineup is largely the same this year, the Ranger will probably add a new trim to the family called the Ranger Raptor, which is scheduled to be the most off-road oriented of the lineup yet. The Ranger's mechanical configuration should stay the same this year, but Ford has yet to provide final details on changes to the Ranger.

2023 Ranger Trims and Features

The Ford Ranger lineup will include: the XL, XLT, Sport, Lariat, and Wildtrak. At the very least, the base Ford Ranger model is expected to have an updated interior for 2023. Ford has not yet released full details about all the changes that the 2023 Ranger will get, but at the very least the Ranger will have a sound system with four speakers along with a WiFi hotspot and some standard safety equipment. Air conditioning is another standard feature. Dual-zone climate control is offered through a package and included on the higher-end models. Power-adjustable mirrors are also included on some models, along with a sound system that has more speakers and Ford's SYNC infotainment system. A leather steering wheel comes with some of the top models, and they also get a 110V power outlet and more safety technology. The new Raptor model is projected to add more off-road amenities, including more recovery hooks, Fox shocks, a higher ground clearance, and side steps.

A 10-speed automatic transmission comes with the engine, and a four-wheel drive is available.

Ford Ranger Safety

Forward collision mitigation is standard in the 2023 Ranger. Lane-keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring also come with the truck.
