What's New for the 2019 Ford Flex?

A new year comes with new comforts in the 2019 Ford Flex. Now seating 7 passengers comfortably, the Flex has folding rear seats for more cargo space, 10 cup holders, heated outside mirrors, rain sensing wipers, a lift gate and even intelligent access to the vehicle with push-button start. It also includes MyKey which allows two members of the household to share the vehicle and customize preferences like limiting the maximum speed.

The Sync 3 features are improved and allow for easy-to-use voice commands with a friendly interface to take advantage of the new built in technology. The inside of the vehicle is no different when it comes to brand new features like auto-dimming rearview mirror, illuminated sun visors, laminated front door glass, and a 6-way power driver's seat.

Distinct Trims with 7 Seats

The Flex now comes with very distinct trim and features, making it stand out amongst the rest. The wheel trim has been upgraded, and the outside mirrors are even bold and black and unique to the model.

Available as part of an Appearance package, the Flex offers a black roof, high-gloss black-painted wheels, a grille center bar and liftgate applique, even a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The headlights are also HID which consumes far less energy and helps enhance the sleek exterior design. The interior light even allows you to customize the color to best represent you.

The new sleek design includes bright dual exhaust tips, grooved door panels, skull caps, and black beltline molding on both sides and lift gate.

Strong Engine Options offer Efficiency

2019 Ford Flex Front GrilleThe Flex has a variety of engine options. The 3.5L TI-VCT V6 engine provides 287 horsepower with a torque level of 254. The Ecoboost engine upgrade on that model is 365 horsepower with 350 torque. The VCT engine is naturally aspirated, while the impressive Ecoboost engine offers twin-turbocharged.

A Bounty of Safety Options Await

2019 Ford Flex NavigationThe Flex has spared no option when it comes to safety, because nothing is more important. A number of features are built into the new Flex model to provide peace of mind such as the rear view camera with backup assistant to help avoid accidents or damage.

There is a personal safety system, a front-passenger sensing system, a safety cage construction, a safety measure for the canopy above, front seat airbags, height adjustable seat belts, child-safety rear locks, even anchors for car seats, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

There is also the included option of adding an inflatable second-row safety belt. There are a number of security features as well, such as SecuriLock anti-theft system, a perimeter anti-theft alarm, remove keyless entry, a keyless entry keypad, and even an illuminated entry for visual ease.
