What's New for the 2022 Ford F-150

For the 2022 model year, the Ford F-150 receives a complete redesign. The new truck is bigger and more capable than ever before, with an updated design inside and out. Under the hood, there are new engine choices available, including a hybrid powertrain.

The new Ford F-150 has a completely redesigned exterior.

It is now longer, wider, and taller than the previous model.

In addition, the truck has a more muscular look, with large wheel arches and a chiseled front end. The headlights and taillights have been updated, and new wheel designs are available.

2022 Ford F-150 Trims & Features

The 2022 Ford F-150 is available in six trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited.

The base XL trim comes standard with 17-inch steel wheels, a black grille, manual mirrors and door locks, cloth upholstery, and a four-speaker audio system.

The XLT trim has Chromed bumpers, body-colored door handles, mirrors, cruise control, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat. It also features a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, etc.

The Lariat trim comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, chrome side steps, a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and heated and ventilated front seats. It also has a twin-panel moonroof, navigation, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert.

The King Ranch trim adds unique exterior and interior design elements, 20-inch wheels, power-deployable running boards, a B&O 10-speaker premium audio system, heated rear seats, etc.

The Platinum trim comes standard with 20-inch wheels, LED fog lights, a hands-free tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, a B&O 10-speaker premium audio system, etc.

The Limited trim is the most luxurious option and comes standard with 22-inch wheels and LED headlights and taillights. It also has a hands-free tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, and a B&O 10-speaker premium audio system.

2022 Ford F-150 Horsepower

There are six different engine choices under the hood of the 2022 Ford F-150.

The base engine is a 3.3-liter V6 that produces 290 horsepower and 265 lb.-ft of torque.

The next step up is a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 325 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft of torque.

A 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine also produces 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft of torque.

The top two engine choices are both turbocharged diesel. There is a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel V6 that makes 250 horsepower and 440 lb.-ft of torque.

2022 Ford F-150 Safety

The 2022 Ford F-150 comes standard with a rearview camera, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist. Optional safety features include adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, parking sensors, etc.
