What's New for the 2019 Ford Mustang?

The 2019 Ford Mustang is a sports coupe that is entering its fifth year of its sixth generation. The 2019 Mustang will debut a special edition Bullitt model to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film. Also, the 2019 Mustang will have a California Special trim that will feature a blacked out grille and sports stripe. Additionally, Ford will introduce new exterior colors to the 2019 Mustang. Among the exterior colors to be introduced are Velocity Blue, Need for Green and Dark Highland Green.

Which Trims and Features are Available?

The 2019 Mustang entry level trim is the Ford EcoBoost Fastback. The entry-level Mustang will come with a 2.3 EcoBoost engine offering 310 horsepower and 350 foot-pounds of torque. Standard features, of the EcoBoost Fastback model, will include an independent rear suspension and LED headlights with LED signature lighting.

The EcoBoost Premium Fastback has the same 2.3 EcoBoost Engine and all the standard features found on the fastback model plus heated and cooled leather trimmed front seats, SYNC 3 voice activated technology and dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control. The EcoBoost Fastback and EcoBoost Fastback Premium will also be available as convertible models.

The 2019 Mustang GT Fastback model offers a 5.0 Ti-VCT V-8 engine with 460 horsepower and 420 foot-pounds of torque. Standard features of the Mustang GT Fastback include TrackApps performance tools and a 6-speed manual transmission with rev matching.

The GT Premium Fastback includes the standard features of the GT Fastback model plus an Active Valve Performance Exhaust System with Quad Tips and a 10-speed SelectShift Automatic Transmission. The GT Fastback and GT Fastback Premium will also be available as convertible models.

Special editions for the 2019 Ford Mustang include the Bullitt and California Special models.
